About the role
You will partner closely with engineers and product managers from research through to ship — designing real flows in real components, not just static screens.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end design for one or two client products at a time.
- Run user research — including in-language sessions in Kinyarwanda or French.
- Contribute to and evolve our internal design system.
- Defend design quality through engineering implementation.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of product design experience, ideally on shipped consumer or fintech products.
- A portfolio that shows judgment, not just polish.
- Fluency in modern design tooling (Figma) and component-driven thinking.
- Comfort working closely with engineers on real implementation trade-offs.
Nice to have
- Front-end coding ability (HTML, CSS, light React).
- Experience designing in low-bandwidth or feature-phone contexts.
